Academics

Kootenai Valley Christian School offers a diverse educational curriculum for students K-12.

Kootenai Valley Christian School Academics

We provide all students with support and nurture skills to succeed throughout the course of their study. Grades K-6 use Association of Christian Schools for Science and select traditional Phonics, Language Arts, Math, Penmanship, Health and History curriculum, including ABeka and other resources.
Grades 7-12 use the Ignitia curriculum, a hybrid of teacher taught and online study. Classroom instructors teach the core curriculum in person, as students demonstrate competency through practical projects and work online to complete lessons, quizzes and tests. 80 online electives are offered as independent study.  Specialized instruction and demonstration are provided as they are needed.
All core courses are taught by our on-site teachers. Some electives are self-study and completed online with support from our on-site teachers.
